Harness maker spreads its wings
Having along established a reputation for wiring harnesses and looms that range from miniature 25 mm interface connections to large scale 25 m trailer wiring looms, SIC moved up the supply chain to control panel assembly and even full machine build.
Its customer base spans small niche start-ups to major international high volume users. At the top end of the volume scale it can draw on resources in China that conform to the high production standards established in the UK. China accounts can be managed in Sterling, Euros or Dollars.
Box build encompasses everything from small plastic enclosures to major control panels. When undertaking box build, responsibility for procurement of all internals components including PCBs and sub-assemblies is taken on board.
The company takes it relationship with the environment very seriously, that why it is certified to ISO 14001, the environmental standard. It says although the standard is voluntary, it plays an important role in establishing credentials with international players.
