Push-pull latching protects to a T
Based upon the B series connectors from Lemo, the T series connector is designed for outdoor applications. The new connector, to be showcased at Southern Electronics 2016, incorporates the company’s original push-pull latching connection technology, including an inner sleeve and additional sealing to protect against water ingress to IP68 level when mated.
It is available in multi-pole types of two to 22 contact configurations and options of solder, crimp or print contacts. The mechanical keying system ensures correct connector alignment with multiple key options to avoid cross-mating. A separate earthing crown offers 360° EMC shielding.
The connector has a selection of options compatible with the earlier model, sharing the same socket panel hole diameter, allowing an upgrade to existing designs without the need to change front panel dimensions.
Available in standard matt chrome or black-chrome plated brass finish and plastic outer shell, the connector is suitable for communications, defence systems, test and measurement. Its corrosion resistance (1,000 hours+ rating) make it suitable for any marine environment or wherever there is harsh environmental conditions.
