WPS positive after Brexit as investment generates CEM wins

2011-11-22 14.31.44_tmbWilson Process Systems highlights recent investment in its high performance contract manufacturing capabilities this week at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2017.

2016 was a record year for WPS, with growth of 28 per cent, taking turnover to over £12 million. The firm is bullish about future prospects, commenting that strong customer demand and indications that manufacturing is returning to the UK, due in part to increasing build costs in the Far East, supports its investment decisions. However the firm cautions that UK manufacturing must demonstrate its capabilities and its value to win contracts during and post-Brexit.

Steve Cooke, Sales Manager WPS stated. ”We have recently expanded our capabilities in terms of 3D automated optical inspection and selective soldering, as well as increasing our surface mount capacity. This puts us in an even stronger position to be able to offer our customers a professional, flexible and competitive UK based manufacturing solution.”

WPS is keen to meet with visitors and discuss options to create value with an established UK-based contract manufacturing partner.
