WDGN encoders use NFC technology to configure devices

Among the highlights of the Variohm Eurosensor stand will be a live demonstration of the WDGN series of incremental encoders from Wachendorff Automation.  They use NFC (near field communication) technology to allow engineers to configure the device on-site via a smartphone app, eliminating the need for cables and adapter boxes.

There is also the Euro CMRK micro rotary sensor, which is believed to be the smallest Hall-effect rotary sensor currently available. It has a two-part puck and magnet design and is suitable for position feedback tasks demanding compact dimensions and extreme durability.

There will also be the company’s range of position, pressure, temperature, load and force sensors which provide real time data insights for informed decisions to prevent downtime and maximise productivity.

The technical team will be on hand to discuss in-house engineering expertise, product customisation, new product development and the on-site manufacturing facility or answer questions about the sensing, switching and motion control solutions available from sister companies across the Variohm Group.
