UL– underwiting product safety
Safety is, of course, the primary concern of anyone involved in product manufacture. Since 1894 UL has been synonymous with product safety evaluation; helping ensure that products used at home and at work are safe. However being safe today means something different from what it did 120 years ago. As technology has advanced the firm has expanded to ensure to meet demands that products are compliant as well as safe. Established in 2010, UL Consumer Technology – exhibiting at Southern Manufacturing 2017 – is its consumer technology division, founded specifically to help technology-led businesses get their products to market as quickly as possible with the least fuss.
