Time to invest in new machinery, says Haas
Following the lifting of the Annual Investment Allowance in the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement, there has never been a better to time to consider investing in new machinery. And one place to evaluate the latest options available is the Haas Automation stand at Southern Manufacturing 2013.
With sales of more than 14, 000 machine tools in 2012, the American company Haas is the world’s largest manufacturer of machine tools. The UK is its longest established market outside the USA. Much of its success is based delivering high specification machines at affordable prices. Long time supporter of Southern Manufacturing, the firm returns in 2013 with live demonstrations of its latest machining centres.
The choice of machines is enormous: vertical machining centres, horizontal machining centres; both have five axis and pallet options. CNC lathes with options such as 7,000-rpm spindle, high-torque gearbox, full C axis and Y axis, live tooling, parts catcher and bar feeder. The firm is also renowned for customer service. Over 50% of its UK workforce are factory trained service engineers. It is the only company to have won the MWP award for ‘Best Service and Support’ in two consecutive MACH shows, 2010 and 2012.
