Sky’s the limit for precision tooling
Specialist precision tooling will be exhibited by Heamar at Southern 2016, including new, power-assisted tools from Astro Tool Corporation, Klauke and TE Connectivity together with a new range of heat guns from Steinel.
The supplier of specialist mil-spec tooling to mass-transit, military, F1 racing, and aerospace has over 35 years’ experience supplying tooling for electrical harnesses, from wire cutters through to bespoke tool control systems.
Regular customers include British Aerospace, Airbus, Virgin Atlantic, Bombardier, Red Bull and McLaren F1. The company is also the primary tooling supplier to Facebook’s solar powered drone fleet, code-named Aquila.
Visitors will see how the company puts together specialist tool kits for the manufacturing, maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft. Virgin Atlantic recently chose the 787 Boeing Dreamliner tool kit to service and repair their fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners – shown here being handed to Shaun Judson, Virgin Atlantic Airways by Heamar’s Dave Martin.
The company is also distributor for specialist tooling brands IDEAL, DMC, Leister, Steinel and Band It. It holds ISO 9001 process quality certification and offers fast turnaround on quotes and customer orders. As specialist tooling distributors, it can arrange the service, calibration and repair of wire stripping tools, mil-spec crimp tools, banding tools and heat guns. Other services include a free wire evaluation service.
