Quickgrind offers cutting-edge consultancy…literally!
One of the largest independently owned, British manufacturers of solid carbide round shank cutting tools, Quickgrind, will be showcasing the latest products on the market at Southern Manufacturing 2016 and offering ‘drop-in’ consultancy sessions.
Visitors can explore how easy it could be to make radical improvements to cutting strategies and investment. Helping UK customers to compete more effectively with overseas competition, the company offers off-the-shelf tools to want to maximise tool-life, or cutting tools tailored to a specific application.
Mirage end mills are suitable for HSM (high speed machining) and HSC (high speed cutting) in material such as titanium, inconel and stainless steels. Performance has been proven with a number of CNC software partners, enabling cutting speeds and feeds in excess of expectations. There will also be the solid carbide, high speed Spectre and Phantom ranges on show, and a new range of general purpose 4FL Qplus end mills.
A remanufacture programme offers much more than normal tool regrinding, helping customers cut tooling spend by up to 60%, claims the company.
