Quartz crystals are stable for IoT applications

sme17previewimage_tmbQuartz crystals for wireless and Internet of Things (IoT) applications are being showcased on the Jauch Quart UK stand at Southern Electronics 2017. The JXS21 -WA, JXS22 -WA and JXS32 –WA crystals are available in standard packages 2016, 2520 and 3225 and at 14 special frequencies to generate a pure and stable reference clock for many radio frequency (RF) transceivers and RF application specific integrated circuits (ASICs).

Frequencies such as 24.0, 26.0, 32.0, 37.40, 38.40 or 40.0MHz are often used by RF-ASICs that support wireless standards like Bluetooth low energy, Bluetooth Smart, Zigbee, ISM (industrial, scientific and medical), LoRa, LPWAN (low power wide area network) or other standards being used in wireless applications within the world of IoT.

They offer a tight frequency tolerance of ±10ppm at +25°C and high frequency stability: ±10ppm in -20 to around +70°C or ± 15ppm in -40 to around +85°C and ±30ppm in -40 to +105°C.

They are offered in small ceramic or metal packages, measuring 2.0 x 1.6 x 0.45mm (2016), 2.5 x 2.0 x 0.55mm (2520) and 3.2 x 2.5 x 0.65mm (3225).
