Potters helps with sheet metal fabrication, design and assembly
Sheet metal fabrication and mechanical assembly is supplemented with design support for sheet metal components by Potters.
By monitoring market fluctuations and spending patterns, Potters is able to relay information, both positive and negative, so customers’ purchasing teams can plan, for example changing order patterns to lock in pricing for longer periods, or modifying material specifications or processes to maintain current pricing.
Market fluctuations have lead to an increased demand on the design support team over the last 12 to 18 months, reports Potters. Initially the service was to advise product designers how to make the best of upcoming projects with an emphasis on design for sheetmetal manufacture but now, enquiries are coming from industries which previously created parts in other materials and processes, such as vacuum formed plastics to fully machined parts.
