ODU transfers military expertise to industry
As a result of the technology transfer from expertise in military connectors, ODU Connectors announces a major expansion of its ODU-MAC modular connector range, now incorporated into this industrial connector series.
Showcased at Southern Manufacturing 2017 will be three variants, providing a ‘pick-‘n-mix’ offering to incorporate current, signals, data rates, pneumatics or fibre-optics.
ODU-MAC Silver-Line is has six docking frame types for automatic docking. Each in customisable lengths, with multiple modules, including 30 high-speed data options. ODU-MAC White-Line is the option for manual mating, offering a multiple choice of metal and plastic housings, with snap-in, spindle or lever locking, while ODU-MAC Blue-Line is a tool-free, clip-mounted version. It can be used for on-site assembly, with loading and unloading of the crimp contacts even after assembly and faulty clipping-in of modules prevented through both mechanical and visual coding.
