Next generation GPS tracking previewed at Southern 2016

EveryComm Trak365 will preview a revolutionary new suite of GPS tracking devices at Southern Manufacturing 2016. The product set of LoraWAN® communication gateway and LoRa® endpoint devices will be available for Quarter 2 2016 delivery. The firm is currently recruiting Beta testers for initial installations, to be followed soon after by full production deliveries of gateways and endpoint devices.

TRAK365 utilises the latest 2-way wireless solution that complements machine to machine cellular infrastructure, and provides a low-cost way to connect battery operated and mobile devices to the network infrastructure.

By combining LoRa®-based RF transceiver products with its LoRaWAN® gateways, users can create networks with longer ranges and the capacity to handle millions of devices. Battery lifetime of end-user devices, is also improved while minimising signal interference. The result is a network ideal for Internet of Things (IoT), metering, security, asset tracking, and machine-to-machine (M2M) applications.

The LoRaWAN ® Gateway is connected to the Trak365 Back Office which is the collection point for all messages and data received from the Gateways and endpoint devices. The Back Office is also a Business Rules Engine that works in conjunction with the messages received from the Gateway and endpoint devices to provide communication back to the endpoint devices. This bi-directional capability can be used to switch on other devices in response to the alerts received.

There are two types of tags available, both of which are powered by standard AA or AAA long-life alkaline batteries:

EveryComm is a combination of the latest wireless protocol technology blended with mobile GPRS to provide a robust global tracking solution for high value assets. This product is designed to work in industrial, farming, outdoor settings and for other heavy machinery and vehicles. The wireless connectivity communicates to the gateway while in range and then automatically falls back to operate using the GPRS connectivity when out of range.

LoRa® Wireless only is a versatile two-way wireless communications device which comes with embedded LoRa® communications. It has a microprocessor-based PCB which provides multi-function I/O, GPS (optional), Temperature sensing (optional) and Accelerometer Motion sensing (optional).
