Mintdale Engineering reaps rewards of investment programme

Mintdale Engineering has invested in CNC technology adding nine-axis turning centres with sub-spindles and sliding heads with live tooling and magazine bar feds to enable ‘one hit’ machining. The sub contract manufacturer also has machining centres with rotary axis for complex machined items. It is able to offer clean medical assembly, hand brazing and induction brazing to medical standards and for the refrigeration industry.

The company has recently moved into new premises, doubling floor area size. The machines in the modernised facility are powered by newly installed solar units.

The sub-contract manufacturer of turned and milled components produces precision engineered items for customers in the medical, brewery, drinks dispenser, marine, motorbike, motorsport, wet room, high end gifts, defence and heavy pump and plant industries. It also provides clean assembly and leak testing facilities for the medical industry.

Mintdale Engineering can work to customers’ drawings and in most metals and plastics to produce items at one-hit without complex jigs and fixtures adding to the cost and lead time.

It introduced a quality management system in 1993 which has been upgraded to ISO9001-2015 and more recently ISO 14001.
