High-density power connectors operate in extreme conditions
High-density power connectors that can handle currents up to 10A were shown by Harwin at Southern 2015. Based on a 3mm pitch, the M300 connectors are designed for rugged environments and withstand twice the number of operations as older generation products.
They feature a four-fingered beryllium copper female contact and suit 18 to 22 AWG applications. They operate in temperatures between -65 and +175°C and are rated for 1000 operations. They pass shock (EIA-364-27) and vibration (EIA-364-28) testing. Jackscrews are available for extra security. The connector bodies are moulded in environmentally-friendly material.
