Gear maker targets prestige markets
Now, in addition to the commercial gears and racks it makes for its traditional power transmission industries, Southern Manufacturing 2015 exhibitor Mini Gears can manufacture high precision machined components to supply into specialist markets such as autosport, aircraft seating and the high-end valve industry, machining exotic materials for sub-sea and topside applications.
The subcontract manufacturer has over 100 machines at its machine shop, and offers CNC machining services, five-axis one hit machining, gear cutting, rack cutting, gear grinding, milling and turning.
On its stand will be complete sets of painted aluminium machined kits for first class aircraft seating, the high precision machined components for the valve industry, layshafts, steering racks, flywheels and ground gears for the autosport industry.
