Enclosure modification capability is highlighted
Modification services will be highlighted by Hammond at Southern Manufacturing 2017, with examples of application-specific plastic and die-cast enclosures that demonstrate its in-house capability.
This capability has recently received a further £100k+ investment in additional CNC machines and production engineering and control systems. CNC milling, drilling, punching, engraving and printing are available, as are EMC coatings, front panel overlays, custom colours for moulded enclosures and a variety of different paint finishes for metal enclosures.
PDF drawings or CAD files for all products are available on the company website, allowing customers easily to specify the modifications required.
Also on show will be a selection from 5,000 different standard plastic, metal, extruded and die-cast aluminium enclosures. The recently launched 1551USB, a miniature enclosure optimised for USB interconnect and available in three sizes and five colours will be featured, as well as the 1553W, an ergonomically designed, IP67- sealed version of the popular handheld enclosure.
