Compete in IPC’s hand soldering competition

Hand soldering of high-density PCBAs requires highly skilled and qualified experts to meet zero-defect soldering leading to overall assembly reliability, says IPC.

The popular competition returns to Southern Manufacturing. Competitors will have 60 minutes to assemble a complex PCB and will be judged by IPC Master Instructors in accordance with IPC-A-610 Class 3 criteria. Each competitor (PCBA) will be inspected and rated according to the overall quality of the results achieved, based on the quality of the assembly process, the overall electrical functionality of the assembly and the speed at which the assembly was produced.

Registration is free of charge. Competitors do not need to be an IPC member, or IPC-certified, to take part.
