Cash prizes in the IPC Hand Soldering competition

Continuing its quest to find the best of the best in hand soldering, the popular IPC Hand Soldering Competition, will be hosted by IPC. In this competition, assemblies will be judged on soldering in accordance with IPC-A-610 Class 3 criteria, the speed at which the assembly was produced, and the overall electrical functionality of the assembly.

Competitors will be judged by IPC Master Instructors (MIT) from ART-Advance Rework Technologies, an IPC licensed training centre based in the UK.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the winner and two runners-up (£300, £200 and £100). The winner will qualify to be invited by IPC to compete for the World title at the IPC Hand Soldering World Championship at 2023 productronica in Munich, later this year.

Any company enlisting two or three competitors is eligible for the Best Company Team Award. Participation in IPC hand soldering competitions is free.
