Boddingtons showcases expansion
Award-winning plastics injection moulding manufacturer, Boddingtons, returns to Southern Manufacturing 2016 to promote its enhanced services and manufacturing capabilities. The firm has expertise in all facets of the design and manufacturing process – guiding good product ideas and steering projects through to the right place in the market. All manufacturing programmes at Boddingtons come on line through the company’s gated New Production Introduction (NPI) process. This helps ensure that the customer’s financial and timeline risks are minimised.
A commitment to product innovation has enabled Boddingtons to treble its turnover; from £5m in 2010 to £15m at the beginning of this year. A factory extension is currently underway that will double the manufacturing footprint of the business when completed in July 2016. Longer-term, the Boddingtons management group is confident of meeting a £28m turnover target by the end of 2020.
Last October 2015 saw Boddingtons celebrate winning the Plastics Industry Product Design Award for the third year in a row. This is an unprecedented and unequalled feat in UK plastics.
