Blakell Europlacer focusing on PCB inspection
On its stand at Southern Manufacturing 2015, Blakell Europlacer will be focusing on PCB inspection. Showcased will be high definition manual inspection units from Tagarno, with HD units available and systems capable of magnification to 100x and image capture.

here will also be Aleader’s in line AOI machine, featuring innovative i3D technology. The company is renowned for ease of programming, low false call rate (typically less than four false calls per 1000 devices tested) and algorithm-based programs suited to both pre- and post-reflow. The company also manufactures solder paste inspection systems and can offer both 2D or full 3D inline machines.
The RED-E-SET line of PCB support tooling, will be demonstrated. It is designed specifically to improve results from the stencil printing and component placement processes. The printer does not require pneumatics or electrics for operation. The operator simply takes the first PCB and ‘flattens’ it onto the red-e-set pins after which the red-e-set is simply locked with an Allen key. After that, PCB support will be achieved on the production boards. Red-E-Set GO is a low cost method of supporting PCBs within the pick and place machine, and can be configured for virtually all makes of SMT placement systems, says the company.
