Automated stock counter uses Android handset
A new product to be launched at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2014, the TalliScan is the fastest automated stock counting system available, claims its manufacturer, Prospect42.
A rugged Android handset is integrated with a precision, wireless industrial weigh scale, allowing any parts bin to be placed on it and its contents scanned and counted in one single action. Despite its speed, the contents remain undisturbed throughout. Other benefits are that a history of parts counts is maintained; and counts are exported for an MRP system.
A starter kit contains an Android handset, wireless weigh scale, wireless label printer, mobile charging powerbank, and a working example.
