AC current sensor system is wireless

Manutech preview edit_tmb Current sensors, current transformers, Rogowski coils, flexible core and split-core current transformers are among the products showcased by Manutech Europe at Southern Manufacturing 2016.

New to the product portfolio is the SCT-200W wireless CT system, designed to work with any energy meter that accepts 0.333 or 1V RMS transducers. An RF link is powered by the measured current and links to the controller at any current above 5A. The system consists of three matched CTs and a controller with three outputs for A, B and C phase. Installation is simply snapping the CTs around each conductor. The controller is powered by 120 or 240V AC. The outputs can be wired to the energy meter CT inputs. Linearity accuracy is ±1%, phase angle is less than 1° measured at rated current and AC current up to 1,500A. Output is 1.0 or 0.333V and range is up to 10m.

The Magnelab split-core current transformers and transducers (pictured) measure AC current from one to 5,000A. The Magnelab flexible-core rope CT (Rogowski coil) is available from 12 to 48 inches at various amperage ratings. Magnelab also designs and manufactures custom magnetics.
