Abanaki showcases portable oil skimmer
Highlighted at Southern Manufacturing 2019, the coolant maintenance product range from Abanaki now includes the Oil Boss oil skimmer. It is designed for machining centre applications, removing oil from sumps extending coolant life and reducing the onset of bacterial growth eliminating potential health risks. The small but robust units have a magnetic mounting system that allows the unit to be located for easy access. The magnetic mounting base also makes the unit portable and able to be moved from machine to machine as needed.
Another product is the Mighty-Mini belt-type oil skimmer. Manufactured of 304 stainless steel, it is compact and designed for parts washers and machine tool coolant sumps. It requires minimal assembly and maintenance, says the company.
