Health & Safety adhesives from Henkel Loctite
New additions to Henkel’s famous Loctite range of Health & Safety adhesives were showcased at Southern Manufacturing 2013. The addition of three new, hazard-bale free cyanoacrylates – more commonly know as instant adhesives – means the firm is now able to offer a comprehensive range of non-hazadous engineering adhesives that cover a wide range of applications.
Clean and easy to apply, the new additions are useful where aesthetic appearance is important. Classified as non-irritant, their fast positioning and fixing of dissimilar materials, such as wood, paper,leather and cork as well as plastics and metals, make them extremely versatile. Shear and tensile bond strength is excellent, even on very small bond faces. All three adhesives are colourless with low bloom and low odour. Fixing time is between 5 and 20 seconds dependant on the materials to be joined.
