Vericut CNC software makes manufacturing process smart
Using the Vericut CNC simulation, verification and optimisation software means smarter, more efficient manufacturing processes can be created, says CGTech.
Vericut’s Force optimisation module is integrated simulation-optimisation which can significantly reduce machining times, improving cutting tool and machine life. New and legacy programs can be optimised to run as efficiently and safely as possible. The module is available for milling, turning and mill-turn operations.
CGTech specialises in NC code simulation and offers a range of products that ensure CNC machine tools run collision-free and manufacturing processes operate more efficiently with increased profit levels. The software operates independently but also integrates with all leading CAM systems.
Sales manager, Scott Ravenscroft, explains: “Vericut covers the obvious and visible production elements, such as crashes, scrap, gouges and prove outs, Force addresses the hidden opportunities. These include inefficient programming and sub-optimal feed rates caused by the CAM system’s inability to adjust cutting feed rates for varying cutting conditions.”
The Force module typically achieves savings of eight to 15% on aluminium and +15% on difficult-to-cut materials. Return on investment can often be as little as one production component, says CGTech, with the opportunity to analyse cutting conditions, improve tool life, protect CNC machine tools and reduce operational costs.
