Techdrives showcases essential drive components for machine builders

techdrives Techdrives will exhibit for the first time at Southern Manufacturing 2014, presenting a wide range of machine drive components. These include brand new Panasonic drive products with standard AC, brushless and servo motors. A comprehensive range of linear motion products is extended with two new product launches for 2014. Experienced Product Engineers on the stand can advise on the selection of these products, also shaft couplings, locking bushes, clutches, brakes and torque limiters.

One highlight at the exhibition is the new Panasonic MINAS brushless motors and drives. These offer reduced dimensions, reduced energy consumption and even reduced prices compared to previous models. Accurate speed holding is possible over a range of 133:1. The KV variant gives servo-like performance at a low cost with 4000r/min motors in a power range 50 to 750W, ideal to upgrade stepper drives.

Totally new for 2014 are two linear motion products. A range of linear servo actuators offers high speed and precision for strokes up to 1.5m and duty cycles up to 100%. Also a flexible range of ball screw jacks can provide high performance for heavier loads from 5 to 400kN. A new patented travelling screw design is suitable for continuous duty.

Techdrives shaft couplings are presented in a new 44 page catalogue available at the stand. There are 14 ranges for shaft sizes from 3 to 150mm. Versions include simple jaw couplings, backlash free one-piece and torsionally rigid metal disc couplings. Selection guidance is given in the catalogue.

Techdrives is a division of Lenze Ltd, a company celebrating 45 years of UK trading this year. The full Techdrives range is presented on a relaunched website www.techdrives.co.uk. Meet Techdrives at Southern Manufacturing 2014 on stand R42
