RVL supports customers to meet semiconductor shortages and new development plans

Electronic engineering company, RVL, reflects on 2023 and says there has been a near 50/50 split between clients requesting re-design of existing products to meet the semiconductor shortage challenge, and those wishing to push ahead with new development programmes.

In many cases, organisations have had to make the difficult and agonising decisions to prioritise one over the other, says RVL, although the company has supported both paths for numerous clients.

New developments include working on projects for a variety of sectors, including consumer, marine, automotive, gaming, laboratory/medical and military.

One project required the design and development of a flexible two-part PCBA for a cordless handheld appliance, which we will be on the stand at this year’s show. The company says it took great satisfaction in creating an innovative solution that didn’t compromise the integrity and beauty of the product design. The client was delighted to watch their project come to life in the design lab, and then on new pick-and-place assembly line in the manufacturing facility.

Other exciting projects include time of flight technology for the gaming industry and IoT expansion of a clients’ existing product line.

There will be some of the latest client projects on the stand as well as staff eager to hear visitors’ ideas.
