ODU unveils Mini-Snap and Medi-Snap connectors

Among the new products showcased by ODU are two new connector ranges: the Mini-Snap and Medi-Snap connectors.

The L, K, B, and F series Mini-Snap robust, metal circular connectors each have push-pull locking or break-away and three termination types (solder, print or crimp). They are sealed up to IP68. They are designed for long operating life with over 5,000 mating cycles. They have an interface diameter of 6.4mm.

The second introduction is the plastic-bodied Medi-Snap. This is a space‐saving design with high contact density and right-angled options. It has push‐pull or break‐away options, with mechanical and optical coding and operates up to 1,000V AC. It offers protection to IEC 60601–1 (2 MOPP / 2 MOOP) and can be sterilised.

At the stand, there will also be the ODU-Mac Blue-Line connector range for manual‐mating, with variants for automatic docking and the White-Line series which has ergonomic handling, thanks to numerous locking options, such as snap-in, spindle or lever. This version has a variety of plastic and metal housings.  There will also be the Silver-Line version which is for high-reliability docking systems while the Black-Line is the interface for mass interconnects in testing PCBs and electronically assembled units.
