New precision FPC/FFC test sockets from Yamaichi
New FPC/FFC test sockets will be showcased at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2019 by Yamaichi Electronics. The sockets are designed and produced in-house to ensure fast implementation of individual customer requirements and short lead times.
The probe pins are designed to make a secure connection with only minimal contact with the device under test to ensure that the pins cause no material deformation, scratches, furrows or grooves. Test sockets from a pitch of 0.3 mm are available, manufactured from PEEK and anodised aluminium. The individually tested probe pins are made of a beryllium copper alloy coated with nickel and gold. For special requirements also pins with other surfaces can be used. The firm claims 50,000 mating cycles for each individual FPC/FFC test socket.
