Briton EMS returns to Southern Electronics in 2014 to promote its design, development and contract electronics manufacturing services (CEMS). Recent ownership changes now allow the firm to develop electronic products in the UK, with all the strong IP protection and efficient pre-production trialling that this entails, before switching to lower-cost manufacturing in Singapore if appropriate. The firm claims to be able to take electronics outsourcing through the entire manufacturing process, delivering boxed products anywhere in the world, ready to sell or install without the need for further testing.
Briton EMS is a highly experienced outsource, dealing with customers in the industrial, broadcast, medical, instrumentation, control systems, telecoms, transport infrastructure, security and counter terrorism sectors. RF, high speed data and sensor technologies plus full functional testing are major strengths in the UK – and new commodities, including multi-chip modules, hybrids and complex harness assemblies, are available through its overseas facilities.
