Modula Pallet autonomously lifts pallets

Modula Pallet autonomously lifts pallets

The Modula Pallet is an automatic machine which autonomously lifts pallets for storage and handling. Developed by  vertical storage system specialist, Modula Storage Solutions, the machine allows up to 100 pallets to be stored and handled in metal trays.

Pallets are placed in the front or side picking bay next to the storage system for lifting. The loads can be moved by manual or electric pallet trucks and left in the dedicated space during the loading process. Forklifts can also be used, or loading can be done automatically with conveyors, AGVs or AMRs through specific integration with the Modula WMS (Warehouse Management System).

Compared to stacker cranes and traditional pallet storage systems, Modula Pallet offers benefits in terms of ergonomics and safety for staff and goods, which no longer have to be moved at heights.

Some trays can be used for pallets and others for single items or other goods that are not on pallets by equipping the Modula storage system with one specific pallet bay and one that works like a Modula Lift bay.

Various dimensions are available, depending on the height available in the premises and the chosen tray width, with room for up to four Euro pallets. The storage systems can reach heights of up to 16 metres and store up to 90,000 kg, for floor space savings of more than 90%, says the company.
