Hammond introduces flame-retardant ABS family

Hammond has also introduced the flame-retardant ABS 1556 family, inspired by the IP68 1557 range, providing additional sizes with the same versatility and features at a lower price point for general use. The company’s exhibition stand will also showcase additional sizes of many established product families.

For where standard sizes do not meet a project’s particular needs, Hammond also offers in-house modification. This is, says the company, both cost- and time-efficient. While standard products are low cost, readily available and field-proven, they may need to be configured for a project and the company says in-house modifications by the original manufacturer are the lowest cost and fastest turn-round.

Hammond’s in-house modification capabilities mean it can modify as few as 25 units. It includes precision CNC milling of holes, cut-outs, pockets, tapping and countersinking; UV digital and silk screen printing, engraving of logos and text in both plastic and metal and pressed in hardware, i.e., nuts, studs and standoffs.

All ABS, flame retardant ABS and polycarbonate enclosures can be moulded in any custom colour and plastic and metal enclosures can be powder coated in smooth or textured finishes. (Subject to minimum order quantities.)
