Filtermist helps workers to Go Home Healthy

Filtermist International will be highlighting the role it plays in helping to ensure British workers ‘Go Home Healthy’ on Stand C250 at this year’s Southern Manufacturing show.

According to the HSE statistics, an estimated 12,000 cases of lung disease deaths are linked to past exposure in the workplace. Reducing this figure is one of HSE’s current key priorities and it is implementing a number of measures designed to tackle this issue in its Go Home Healthy campaign.

Filtermist International, which will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, offers a range of products and services designed to minimise exposure to oil mist and other airborne contaminants. UK sales manager, Matthew Pearson, explains: “As with all machinery, oil mist, dust and fume filters perform best with regular servicing. Filtermist operates a dedicated team of skilled service engineers . . . to offer customers peace of mind that their equipment is in good working order.”

CoSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations require most LEV system to be tested at least once every 14 months by a competent person.

The company has a team of skilled LEV engineers certified to P601, P602, P603 and P604. A digital reporting system makes it easy to file and then retrieve LEV test reports when required. An LEV engineers will demonstrate the LEV testing service at the show.
