Expanded CNC range from Ajax is paired with training
Ajax Machine Tools highlights a new range of seven CNC bedmill machines and three Euroturn AJEU electronic CNC lathes at Southern manufacturing 2015. Both machine types are ideally suited for use in production, workshop and training environments.
The company will also present its latest competitively priced training package, at under £35,000. It incorporates two UK built machines both fitted with Siemens controls: the Ajax Euroturn lathe and Interactive CNC bedmill. There are also 12 seats of the Siemens Sinumerik 808D on PC training software for workpiece programming and machining simulation.
Based on the same control system, the Ajax Interactive 720 CNC bedmill incorporates Siemens ShopMill and the Ajax Euroturn AJEU 200 electronic CNC lathe Siemens ShopTurn. The bedmill has the smallest capacity in the range with working strokes of 720mm in X, 380mm in Y and 500mm in Z. A turret-style head is able to swivel through 90°. The AJEU 200 electronic CNC lathe has a 200mm centre height, 42mm bore and 750mm between centres.
The software is integrated with Siemens Sinumerik 808D on PC training system and enables offline programming and machining that faithfully represents actual machine tool operation, says the company.
