Duro chucks from Roehm GB

Duro chucks from Roehm GB

The latest range of Duro chucks available from Roehm GB are the Duro-M series of lathe chucks (pictured). They are designed for the clamping of turned parts on turning and milling machines, rotary tables and dividing attachments with conventional clamps. They are available in diameters ranging from 74 to 1250mm; further sizes are available on request. There is no limit with regard to the number of jaws – with lathe chuck generation across the whole range with two, three, four or six jaws enabling even thin-walled workpieces to be clamped and machined perfectly, says the company.

Another new range is the Duro-A power chuck has a constant clamping force for more than 500,000 cycles, up to 30% higher maximum clamping force and a weight reduction of 10%, compared with competing power chucks. The constant clamping force ensures reliable clamping of the components and allows heavier workpieces to be machined. A through-hole, expanded by up to 30%, and up to 35% higher maximum speed are also features of the Duro-A, allowing for a diverse range of applications. The precise manufacturing and stable construction result in high concentricity of 0.01mm, says the company.

The Duro-A supplements the recently introduced Duro-A RC quick change power chuck.  This has a quick jaw-change system that allows the jaws to be adjusted, reversed, or swapped out in just 50 seconds. Its billet steel body has a compact, lightweight design to create additional machining clearance and provide energy savings.
