Dormer Tools returned to Southern Manufacturing with its huge selection of solid carbide and HSS rotary cutting tools. In 2014, the firm merged with indexable tooling specialist Pramet Tools. Visitors to the firm’s stand at Southern 2015 had the opportunity to see first hand its combined product programme, giving customers access to a comprehensive catalogue of both indexable and rotary drilling, milling, threading and turning tools from one single source.

Originally founded in Sheffield, England, in 1913, Dormer is one of the world’s foremost producers of solid carbide and high speed steel rotary cutting tools. Its core product programme consists of drilling, milling and threading tools designed for general purpose machining and multi-application production environments. An expanded sales and technical support service extends market coverage to over 30 offices serving more than 100 markets worldwide. These are supported by state-of-the-art production facilities in Europe and South America and a global distribution network consisting of five strategically placed hubs.
