Boundary scan solutions from GOEPEL Electronic

An impressive range of electrical and optical test and inspection systems for electronic components, PCBs and vehicle control units will be found on the GOEPEL stand at Southern Electronics 2014.

GOEPEL preview edit_tmb GOEPEL electronic GmbH is a leading vendor test systems, with a network of offices across Germany, France, UK, India, Hong Kong and the USA.

Boundary Scan compliant with IEEE Std. 1149.x is an innovative technology for the test, programming, emulation, debugging and validation of electronic components and PCBs. The standard allows the testing and programming of micro processors, micro chips and further highly complex components such as BGA, <BGA or CSP due to their integrated Boundary Scan architecture. The multi-dimensionality of GOEPEL electronic’s JTAG/Boundary Scan solutions was recently emphasized by the introduction of “Embedded System Access” (ESA) technologies and consequently extension of application opportunities

GOEPEL electronic provides high performance and technologically high class systems for the optical inspection of PCBs. These systems belong to the OptiCon family that can be applied in various fields in the manufacturing of mounted PCBs (e.g. before and after the soldering process, as in-line and stand-alone systems). Using these AOI systems, manufacturing defects in the production can be detected, for instance faulty solder joints, multi-pin or wrongly placed components as well as defective components.

The OptiCon system’s “little brother” is the TOM Line. These optical inspection systems can be applied for the check of board surfaces, displays and plain writing recognition for static and moving objects.GOEPEL electronic now also offers new combinational systems. These are the combination of AOI and JTAG/Boundary Scan as well as the new OptiCon X-Line for AOI and AXI in one system.
