Applied Lean Consulting takes on superhero staff

Workplaces can suffer from Superhero Syndrome but lean manufacturing processes can tackle this, says ALC – Applied Lean Consulting.

The consultancy helps managers identify superheroes, describing that if staff stay late to ensure orders go out or to fix breakdowns and get back on target, if work piles up until key people return from holiday or if sickness disrupts your business’ workflow – then this is “Superhero Syndrome”.

Lean manufacturing focuses on identifying customer needs, mapping information and product flows and reworking processes to deliver to customers consistently, in the quantity and quality they need, without relying on a few people to act like superheroes in a crisis.

The consultancy has been working with businesses for over 12 years in manufacturing, distribution and the service sectors to increase profit and build throughput by improving processes and by coaching teams to better manage workflow, efficiency and quality.

Director, Tim Scurlock, will be speaking in the seminar programme, discussing what a business needs to do to become more reliant on efficient and effective process and less on superheroes.
