AJM Engineering marches on with second generation management
Building on his father’s injection mould and tools company, Richard May took over AJM Engineering in 2000 and has expanded and diversified its engineering services.
The company produces injection moulds and tools but also offers subcontract machining including milling, turning, grinding as well as wire electrical discharge machine (WEDM) and EDM. Its team of skilled precision engineers manufacture simple and complex parts in most engineering materials including hard-to-machine exotics and from standard steels to graphite.
AJM Engineering has invested heavily in new machinery, employees and facility improvements to triple manufacturing capabilities for a large and diverse customer base.
The company operates full traceability through an MRP system and carries out quality control and inspection and is certified to AS9100D approved. It also offers specialist design and manufacturing. from one-offs to high quality volume production.
It serves customers in various industries including aerospace, oil and gas, nuclear, automotive and the military.
