Additive manufacturing gets products to market faster and cheaper, says IPF
Injection moulded parts can be brought to market faster with lower project costs and more complex geometries thanks to HP Multi-Jet Fusion, says Industrial Plastic Fabrications. The firm will be highlighting the HP Multi-Jet Fusion at Southern Manufacturing 2020, as part of its extensive range of specialist plastics design and manufacturing capabilities.
When weighed up against high entry costs for injection moulds and the difficulty in correcting mistakes, it’s hard not to consider additive manufacturing as an alternative to traditional injection moulded parts, says the firm. Established in 1969, IPF specialises in plastic machining, fabrication and 3D printing. Production is geared toward bespoke plastic parts, batch and prototype manufacturing. The firm also adds value via a variety of specialist processes including machining and fabrication, post processing, polishing, bead blasting, tumbling or dyeing which can all be done in-house at IPF.
