Waterproof connectors cover many forms
Waterproof connectors from Selwyn showcased at Southern Electronics 2016 are particularly suitable to marine and led lighting applications, although they can be used in any application requiring a low cost, reliable connection where moisture or dust protection is required, says the company. Its M8/M12 connectors are currently undergoing NMEA2000 approval. The range available includes waterproof USB, Mini USB, RJ45, HDMI and D connectors.
In addition, the company offers RF, PCB, crimp, high speed I/O, SATA/SAS and network connectors, terminal blocks, custom adapters and BGA sockets. For anything else, there is a custom connector design and manufacture service with short lead times and low tooling costs.
From initial concept, through development and prototyping, the company offers advice, samples and support. When moving into full production, it offers a competitive stocking and supply service customised to exact needs, says the company.
There is also a custom cable assembly design and manufacturing service.
