New functions for Eurocircuits’ PCB Visualizer

At Southern Manufacturing and Electronics 2014 Eurocircuits will launch two additional functions to its PCB Visualizer: Board Buildup and Layer Mapping.

Eurocircuits_r1_tmb For multilayer boards, the PCB Configurator menu offers over 700 pre-set builds. The new Buildup module allows the PCB designer to add blind and buried vias as required. The new module contains automatic validation routines which flag any combinations that are not possible and gives the reasons.

The Layer Mapping module has a dual function. PCB Visualizer uses sophisticated algorithms to calculate the board build from the Gerber and drill layers. Layer mapping allows the user to check that the build is correct and to complete any missed assignations, especially to link blind or buried drill files to the vias entered using the Board buildup module.

At the same time PCB Visualizer is learning new assignment rules. Its internal algorithms are based on thousands of examples, collected over several years. Self-learning intelligence stores and analyses each new manual assignment, building up its database so that more and more datasets will be correctly interpreted in future.
