Monitran helping engineers pick up those not-so good vibrations

Vibration can provide engineers with a vital early warning sign of component wear in pumps, motors, gearboxes and other type of enclosed machinery. Monitran’s eagerly awaited MTN/VM220 hand-held vibration meter, launched at Southern Manufacturing 2013, provides an effective and easy way for engineers to detect early signs of component wear.

Conforming to ISO10816-3, the meter features a colour LCD display, and is capable of storing up to 100 readings, including temperature, acceleration, velocity and displacement against a real-time clock. The easy-grip rubberised case measures 122 x 78 x 28mm and is supplied with dual-output sensor, magnetic base and cable plus battery charger and durable carry case.
