Major presence at Southern Manufacturing 2013 for TRUMPF
TRUMPF showcases its prowess in two distinct production technologies at Southern Manufacturing 2013; industrial laser systems and mechanical sheet metalworking production.
With more than 60,000 laser installations worldwide, TRUMPF is a leading supplier of industrial lasers, employed in a range of manufacturing processes including joining, cutting, surface treatment and micro-processing.
TRUMPF offers a wide range of laser source options, enabling the optimal solution for each application. On stand Q36 the company will focus on its comprehensive solid-state laser range including its TruDisk systems for high performance welding, soldering and thin sheet metal cutting.
Also featured will be TruDiode that is also suitable for welding and soldering. Diode laser technology is also at the heart of the TRUMPF TruMark system, a fast and cost-effective solution for marking metals, plastic, glass, ceramics and organic materials; qualities which will be demonstrated at Southern Manufacturing using a TruMark Station 5000.
The ergonomic and compact design of the TruMark Station 5000 has made it a popular choice as it enables the operator to work effectively in the standing or seated position; linear and rotary axes with different clamping ranges can also be added. It can also be easily integrated into an assembly line and can be equipped with a choice of beam source to suit the application.
Visitors to stand P36 will also be able to learn about more about the latest generation of TRUMPF laser cutting, punching and bending technology. TRUMPF has been producing its own software since 1979, helping to ensure maximum efficiency and return on machine investment. TruTops packages are optimised for sheet metal production and developed concurrently with TRUMPF machines to ensure all the latest functionality is supported. A recent customer employing this technology in conjunction with a TruLaser 5030 fiber flat bed laser processing system reported saving material usage in excess of 15% and productivity gains of up to 60%.
To demonstrate its ability in the field of precision bending, TRUMPF will feature the TruBend 7036 at Southern Manufacturing 2013. More speed, less weight and easier operation best summarise this model.
