Major investment boosts capacity for HepcoMotion

HepcoMotion used its presence at Southern Manufacturing 2014 to highlight its ongoing investment in the latest production technology. The firm is now able to undertake specialist machining on many of its product ranges from the precision vee slide GV3 to the Winkel heavy load rails up to 6m in length.

Fast turnaround is assured and importantly this capability provides customers with a single source supply for all their linear motion needs, says the firm.

The latest tranche of capital investment by the company has been substantial. New to the shop floor at the Tiverton factory are four, 6m x .5m and eight, 3m x 2m vertical machining centres (with 3D machining capability), all with a weight capacity of 10,000 kg. Additionally the company has taken delivery of 4- and 5-axis vertical machining centres and a turning centre suitable for hard point, super finish machining.

As well as providing specialist machining, HepcoMotion is also able to offer corrosion resistant coatings on many of its slides and decorative coatings on its MCS aluminium profile range. This can be in any RAL colour to accord with corporate identity or health and safety requirements.

HepcoMotion® has full ISO 9001 quality accreditation and operates from its UK HQ and main manufacturing facility in Tiverton, Devon.
