Machining service from Elder Engineering spans CAD to finishes
Certified to AS9100 REV D, Elder Engineering (Herts), offers a precision CNC machining and an extensive range of products in plastic and metal machined to customers’ exact requirements. Some of the complex components the company has machined in a range of materials will be displayed.
The “Start to Finish” sub-contracting machining service goes from initial CAD drawings to a broad range of finishing option (also on display). The machine shop includes five-axis milling, twin spindle lathes and a router. The company can also convert and distribute high performance tapes with or without adhesive, sponge and rubber products.
Services available include, slitting to required width from master logs, sheet slitting, die cutting and gaskets. The security division offers and maintains a range of bespoke products for dual view x-ray machines as required by the Department of Transport and ECAC.
The company was formed in 1980 and boasts partnerships with Saint Gobain Performance Plastics and Green Belting.
