Hylec preview edit_tmbIsolation switch boxes recently launched by Hylec-APL are among number new products showcased on the firm’s stand at Southern 2018.  The Isolator range models are claimed to be the best price/performance ratio on the UK market. They provide fast electrical isolation for industrial machinery, commercial buildings, power supplies, security equipment and HVAC.  The AC and DC models are IP67-rated and provide protection from water up to a depth of one meter.  They are manufactured from flame retardant polycarbonate rated to UL94V-0.

The company will also exhibit its UL and VDE-approved PCB terminal blocks. In addition to standard though-hole mounting and wire protected designs, there are plug and socket (right-angled and vertical), board-to-board (pluggable) and screwless, push-wire terminal blocks.

Also available, DEDSS stainless steel lockable, solid door enclosures are designed to provide high-quality, secure, cost-effective protection for specialist and demanding electronic and electrical installations. They are IP66-rated and are able to withstand impact to IK10 specifications and extremes of temperature. They are suitable for use in corrosive environments and where strict hygiene is required, for example, the agro food sector.

Other introductions are the TeePlug TH381 plug and socket electrical micro connector designed for underwater use and harsh environment installations and the Debox SL in-line cable junction box which can be assembled in a few seconds, says the company. It is supplied with all components needed to join flat or round profile cable, including a UL and VDE-approved four-pole terminal block, to save electricians on-site installation time and reduce costs.
