Hursley EMC showcases expansion at Southern Electronics 2013
Hursley EMC Services returns to Southern Electronics for 2013. The independent test laboratory recently completed an expansion programme, which has significantly increased the facilities available at its two Hampshire sites. Hursley specialises in IT products and is recognised as the most experienced EMC lab in the UK in this field. However this is just one aspect of its work; Military EMC testing has recently been added to its test capability, together with a dedicated EMC team to support this activity.
Accredited in all the world’s major manufacturing markets, it is a member of the Memko ELA scheme, which means its reports are accepted in many more countries. For end users, this means that with one set of tests their products are approved for use in many worldwide markets. In its larger premises the company boasts two fully compliant test chambers as well as a dedicated Military area with three chambers.
There is also an accredited open area test site with 3m, 10m and 30m measuring points. Added to this is an underground chamber and test area. On-site power supplies of 100 to 400 V at both 50 and 60 Hz frequencies are available. Recognising that many customers will require to carry out work at the test facilities, there are dedicated rooms set aside to provide customers with a secure working environment
