Furnace range leads to customised thermal treatment solution
Nabertherm will highlight its specialist thermal processing systems at Southern Manufacturing for the first time. The German firm says that its engineering expertise in combination with in-house manufacturing, can provide individual project planning and construction of tailormade thermal process plants with material handling and charging systems, which aim to automate complete thermal processes.
As a manufacturer, the company believes it offers the widest and deepest range of furnaces worldwide, supplying to customers in more than 100 countries. Short delivery times are ensured due to complete in-house production and a wide variety of standard furnaces.
Its control technology provides for precise control as well as full documentation and remote monitoring of processes. Engineers apply technology to improve the temperature uniformity, energy efficiency, reliability and durability of systems.
Another activity is additive manufacturing which allows for the direct conversion of design construction files into fully functional objects, and 3D-printing objects, where sand, glass, metals or plastic are built-up in layers to a final shape. In many cases, these objects must be heat treated after printing. The company offers binder curing for conservation up to vacuum furnaces in which the objects of metal are sintered, infiltrated and tempered.
Moulds for small series of investment casting use additive manufacturing. In this case, for the investment casting process, Nabertherm also provides various heat treatment solutions for the preheating of manufactured forms prior to casting and for the subsequent de-waxing of the moulds.
