Low to medium volume production batches are catered for, and the firm fields an impressive suite of state-of-the-art equipment and highly experienced personnel to deliver consistently high quality SMT and PTH solutions.

Its state-of-the-art placement equipment allows QPE to place the world’s smallest devices including 01005 passives & 0.3mm pitch CSP ASICs. With 3 MyData lines, QPE provides rapid response, high-complexity PCB assembly. Systems that require multiple PCB assemblies can be kitted and produced on a single platform. Its PTH operators hand assemble and solder the most intricate of PCB repairs and modifications using various lead-free solder wire technologies in both single and double-sided applications. All PTH operators are trained in-house to IPC-A-610 with wiring operators being IPC-A-620 certified.

Further capabilities include wiring, full box builds and testing. Services include automatic cable cutting and wire preparation, complex cable harnessing, specialised cable manufacture, encapsulation, potting, wiring looms and panel wiring by IPC-A-620 certified wiring operators. Finally, comprehensive test facilities ensure high quality finished products. The firm supports customer specific functional/burn-in testing, factory acceptance testing, flying probe testing, debug and failure analysis to pin level and thermal stress testing.
